Lily Allen Chicago Concert reviews
My Fair Lady Not Bad
On October 20, 2026, a presentable job was done by this non-equity cast, which is not bad considering they were just cast in March. Aurora Florence, as Eliza Doolittle, does just fine, in spite of being a better singer than actor. Chris Carsten did Henry Higgins proud, but Richard Springle's Col. Pickering was the shining star performer-wise. Arthur Wise as Alfred Doolittle was very good, wearing the character like a comfortable pair of shoes. The sets, especially Higgins' study, were very well done. He was clearly the most experienced actor in the company; his performance was the most polished of all. Hard to imagine him as another character. For the most part, however, the performances were a bit on the weak side, but I would gladly sit through this show again, with the same cast. I liked them all. She's only 22, so give her time.
